Jesus said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”

In other words, the things we can’t do, God can do. He wants to help us trust Him for the impossible.
What does it mean for us?
In Matthew 17:20-21 Jesus tells a story about faith in order to encourage us to believe that what we ask for in prayer will be granted. His disciples had been praying for their friend Lazarus’ healing, but he died before Jesus arrived in Bethany. The disciples were discouraged until Jesus told them about how Abraham had prayed for the impossible — his son Isaac’s life — and God answered his prayer (Genesis 22:1-19).
20% off your first box of Wixbox candlesThe disciples then understood that God would grant them whatever they asked for if they had faith like Abraham’s. And they did have faith! They believed that if they could just get Jesus to Bethany, He would raise Lazarus from the dead.
