Your top choices for valentine’s day date night

Dates are super important for marriage – they give us an opportunity connect with each other. In the right setting they can be romantic and allow us to connect in ways that God intended.

Valentine’s Day is just a good excuse for one more date night! The cool part is, you don’t have to leave the house. You can have a date night right at home – or choose to go out. It’s your call! My hubby and I often go out, but not ON Valentine’s Day. The prices are jacked up and it’s usually right in the middle of work/school nights. So we postpone and celebrate little that day (flowers or a small gift), then go out the next weekend. No one cares so celebrate YOUR way!

Here are a few of my favorite finds for this special date night.

My husband just bought me this perfume for Christmas – Ralph Lauren Romance. Oh my gosh. Love, love it. I’ll be asking for more when it’s gone.

If you told me a year ago that a single towelette could tan my whole body, I would have bet money you were wrong. And I would have lost! This towelette gives a nice glow for your whole body. It goes on clean and I’ve never had streaks of color. Even in Florida we lose our glow over the winter, so Tan Towel is a must have for me on date night.

I love the Laneige brand and Valentine’s Day just screams for a new lip item, in my opinion. This lip balm adds tint and shine while moisturizing your lips. It doesn’t get much better than that! If you love beauty items, this subscription box might be a good gift for yourself this Valentine’s Day!

I love flowers AND all things shiny pretty, so these are a hit with me. They hold my fine hair well, but if you have super-fine hair you may need a bobby pin. The look is totally worth it, though! I’m so glad clips are back in fashion.

This dress is wonderful – it fits great and is twirly – my favorite kind! Of course for Valentine’s I suggest red or pink. I think you’ll love it.

While I don’t typically suggest men’s items, this wool sweater is amazing and the color red is gorgeous for Valentine’s Day.

The men in my house have been really enjoying solid colognes lately and this is their favorite. If your man or son needs a new scent, give this one a try!

I’m not a huge chocolate fan, but this heart is the one my daddy would give me every year. He just passed away so this is dear to my heart at Valentine’s Day. These chocolates are my adult favorite and my husband is good enough to keep me supplied!

Finally, while I love roses as much as the next girl, they die. And that’s not what I want to represent my marriage! I love these glass flowers. I have several different sets in various rooms of the house. They can be washed on gentle in the dishwasher (top rack) so they stay nice and clean (though follow the instructions that come with your flowers, of course). Maybe you can send a link to your husband with a request for a different kind of flower this year!
