Balance often sounds like an impossible goal. We feel stretched much too thin – pulled in every direction by work, family, household responsibilities, and even our friends. Work demands pull at us 24/7 since Covid. Intimacy with our spouse seems like a distant dream. The kids have places to be, but we rarely get the time to sit and enjoy being with our children. Friends have needs but who has time for friends? A home-cooked meal – what’s that? Life seems to have a hold on us and is just whipping us around until we fall into bed exhausted.
Balance seems like a nice dream but not attainable. Synergy seems even less likely.
