I love candles and Yankee are my favorite. I’ve tried others but I always come back to the Yankee ones. I’m not big on baked goods scents because that makes me want to bake more. And I’m trying to lose weight! But I agree they smell divine.

My old essential oil diffuser bit the dust recently so I had to get a new one. And I’m thrilled that I did! This one is bigger as it’s also a humidifier. I love that it’s dual purpose. The humidity helps my skin and the oils have so many benefits!

When my husband installed Ring cameras all over the house common areas and all our exits, I thought he was nuts. As usual, he was right. Just the other day I watched the video from the night before to see if our regular cat was eating his food. Turns out not. We have a completely different cat eating his food! Without the Ring cameras, I’d never know.

My husband knows I love music by Garth Brooks so I have all of his CD sets. However, as I’m sure you know, laptops don’t come with a port for CDs. And I hate downloading it all to my laptop (yes, I choose my time wisely!). Enter the external CD port. I am so happy I found this! I love that I can play my CDs when I want, but it’s not part of the entire computer.

And my college-aged son just told me that Gen Z is going back to physical listening because of streaming issues. So this might be a good idea for you AND your kids!

We love our Sodastream. We got it for our son, but the entire family uses it! The flavor options are endless so there’s always something to enjoy. I love that it’s on Prime Big Deal Days this year!

I love these snacks! With under 100 calories and a perfect crunch (with some fiber and protein), these snacks are ideal for me. I also love that I can throw them in my tote and not worry about them breaking like chips do.

This summer my youngest son rescued a tiny kitten (he was one pound!). And he got himself lost in our mudroom shortly after arriving. I decided we needed a few measures to prevent that from happening again. One was a tall gate. I knew eventually he would be able to jump high. And I was right! This gate is perfect – the slats are closer together so he couldn’t fit through them and it’s tall enough that he can’t jump it. It also comes with extensions for wider doorways. AND it has a pass-through door so it’s easy to get in and out of the room. Now that he’s bigger I’ll be moving the gate to our back door to let in the cool air this winter and keep kitty off the porch.

This one is for those people who also have dogs. This latch keeps the door open enough for kitty to get to the litter box but not enough for the dogs to get in the room. By keeping them out, I’m keeping them away from the litter box and giving kitty a place he can go where the dogs can’t bother him. It requires NO tools – just slip it on the door handle and you’re all set. This simple item is unbelievable!

For some reason my nails have been a bit soft and breaking the last year. I’m sure it has something to do with my hormones. I’ve tried all kinds of polish and nothing works for nail growth. Until this. Seriously. I put this on every night and after 2 weeks my nails are growing strong and healthy! Don’t be put off by the name. 😀

Books

This book by Max Lucado is one of my favorites. He does an amazing job weaving Scripture and practical tips for how to take control of our thoughts. I highly recommend this book!

If you’ve ever struggled to understand the end times concepts and timeline, you’re not alone. I was right there with you – until I read this book. Max outlines the concepts so clearly and logically in this book. If you only read one end times book, this should be it!

I truly love any book by Bob Goff and this devotional is no exception. And best yet, it’s a whole year of Bob! His humor and insights make this a great Christmas gift for yourself or someone you love.

One more by Bob Goff! This book is fantastic because it reminds me to love Christ and others and not let the world distract me. This book reminds me to keep my priorities straight. I think you’ll really enjoy it!

This book is by John Gottman and his wife, Julie. He is the foremost researcher about marriage right now. While he’s not a Christian, his ideas are grounded in science – he can predict divorce in couples with over 95% accuracy! This book is for those couples who struggle with conflict.

I love the entire line of Love and Respect books by Emerson Eggerichs. Here, his gift book is on sale for Prime Days. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend this for your fall reading list!

Along those lines, the year-long devotional is also on sale.

I’m thrilled Prime is putting a chronological Bible on sale this year. While this isn’t the one I normally advertise, it’s a New Living Translation – perfect for those who struggle with more classic translations. I’ve been really enjoying this translation lately as something different from my usual. If you haven’t read a chronological Bible yet, you’re missing out. This arrangement gives a whole new perspective to our faith.

I love, love Max Lucado’s book. And Prime Big Deal Days includes this one about lessons we learn from Jacob. From the back cover, “If your answer is yes, it’s time for you to see how God’s grace transformed Jacob’s life. And if you feel undeserving of God’s grace, this book will serve as a refresher course on God’s perfect plan to use imperfect people to do great things.” I think you’ll love this book if you’ve ever struggled (like I have) to believe that God can use you.

If you’re like me and you underline and take notes all over your Bible, you may need a journaling Bible. I love mine! The extra space to write notes and prayer requests/answers is unbeatable. Regular Bibles just don’t have the space to really engage with the text.

Bible Study

I’ve been working through Growing Slow and it’s been amazing. If you’re tired and feel like you need the world to stop so you can get off, this study is for you. Note that the Prime deal is only for the Kindle version.

Jennie Allen is a great Bible study author. She means business, though! Her studies are deep and personal. She dives in and gets to the heart of the matter. Her love for Christ is so evident in everything she does. This study helps us understand why God made us and how we can best serve Him with our lives. Please note the Prime deal is on the Kindle version only.

Finally, this study by Lysa Terkeurst is for anyone who has been disappointed by life. I’m raising my hand, too! She gently points the way back to our Creator with love and care. If you like videos with your studies, you’re in luck! This purchase includes the videos.
